Healthy Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup Recipe

With all of the germs going on in my county, I decided to make some healthy, homemade chicken noodle soup to help build up our immune systems. I always use all organic vegetables and chicken that has not been injected with an array of hormones.

You will need the following ingredients to make your chicken soup:

  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups water
  • 4 cups of shredded chicken (no skin)
  • 3 stalks of celery chopped
  • 3 carrot sticks chopped
  • 1 cup of diced potatoes
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 1 diced tomato
  • 2 cups kidney beans
  • ½ cup lima beans
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh parsley
  • 1 chicken boulion cube
  • 1 tsp. poultry seasoning

Follow these steps to make your chicken soup:

Step 1:
Pour your chicken broth and water in a crock pot. This is the base liquid for your soup.

Step 2:
Add your shredded chicken, chopped celery, chopped carrots, diced potatoes, diced onion, and diced tomato to the liquid and stir.

Step 3:
Toss in the crock pot your kidney beans, lima beans, bay leaves, minced garlic, and fresh parsley.

Step 4:
Sprinkle the chicken boullion cube and the poultry seasoning into the crock pot.

Step 5:
Set the temperature of your crock pot to low heat. Allow the ingredients to cook together for at least four to six hours before consuming. Be sure to remove the bay leaves before serving the soup to your family.


  • Fresh ingredients are always best, but if you have to you can substitute garlic and onion powder if you need to.
  • Add some cooked spinach to the crock pot for some additional nutrients.
